Avery is Beauty Revived | Children’s Photographer Campaign
I am so blessed and honored to be a part of the Beauty Revived 50 Beautiful Children campaign. As a children’s photographer, I get to meet some pretty cute kiddos and their families. I love interacting with children, and it’s never a dull moment. But, when I was selected to be a part of the Beauty Revived 50 Beautiful Children Campaign I was thrilled. Beauty Revived is a photography movement that celebrates true inner beauty through children’s photography, senior photography, and women’s photography.
The challenge was to seek out nominations from the community for children that represented true beauty. This is shown by overcoming adversity, showing courage, and using their experiences to give back to their community. Photographers donate sessions to these children and their stories are featured in the magazine and website.
My Beautiful Child recipient is Avery Gerdes. She is an amazing kind hearted girl who has won her battle with cancer, and continues to give back to others in that are facing the same struggle. Avery’s story is featured in the August issue of Beauty Revived and on the Beauty Revived Website. Read Avery’s story and journey here.
Avery’s session was focused mainly on showcasing her, but I really wanted to also feature her family. Avery has an amazing support system and close loving family. Sometimes we are only as strong as those around us, and I loved showing their connection.
Not only did she receive a free photo session, she was also treated to a short film of her session by Mark Mitrovic of The Vic Media. Mark shared his incredible talent to give a little behind the scenes look at Avery’s experience.
Avery’s story was also featured on the cover of the Dekalb County Midweek. Hop on over to the Midweek‘s site to read her interview.
I am so honored to tell Avery’s story. She is such an inspiration to children in her community!
