Back to School Tips | DIY Homework Helper
The kids are heading back to school and it won’t be long before they come home with their first homework assignment. There are always extra supplies that our kids need to finish those projects. This year, arm your house with a Homework Helper packed with backup supplies to help them get the job done!
Tell me if this sounds familiar. It’s 9:00 in the evening, you’ve finished dinner, and you’re ready to start winding down. Then you hear it. “Mom, I forgot, I have to take poster board to school for science tomorrow.” or “I can’t do my math because I don’t have graph paper”, “I left my colored pencils at school” . You name it, we’ve heard it, and NO ONE wants to get back out and run to the store when you’re really hoping to just slip into your comfy cozies and relax.
That’s how the homework helper came about. We made a list of all of those things that we had made late night runs to the store to grab for a project. When the next school year rolled around I bought extras of those things and put them in a cute bin. We have had this bin for the last 5 years and let me tell you, it’s a life saver! Even now that my kids are in middle school and high school, they still pull out the homework helper when they need something for an assignment.
Ready to build your own Homework Helper? Here are just a few of the supplies that we have in ours to get you started. But, get creative! And this is the perfect time to stock up on those extra supplies!
