Family portraits can be such a fun experience! Gone are the days of just sitting on stools in front of a backdrop while everyone says “cheese”. A session doesn’t have to be boring and stiff. I want you to enjoy our time together. The family portraits that you use to fill your home should be a reflection of who you are and what you like to do. Meet the adorable Appel family. These four were so much fun to hang out with! We spent the hour exploring and playing at a local forest preserve. We picked flowers, ran in fields of prairie grasses and sang songs. I loved seeing these two littles giggling and having fun with each other.
I also absolutely LOVE the colors they chose for their outfits. Primary colors in the summer are always a perfect choice. Don’t they just pop with all of the greenery in the background? Love it! If you follow my work, you konw that one of my favorite shots to capture is the “tickle attack”. Nothing brings out those genuine smiles like a good attack! It’s my FAV!!
Just before we wrapped up our session, the clouds started to roll in. I knew rain was forecasted for later in the evening, but we were so lucky to get such a dramatic show of clouds. They made for a gorgeous backdrop!
