Being a Texas girl, I was in love with little Miss Austyn’s name from the minute I heard it. I love being a St Charles newborn photographer and meeting lots of new families. I first met Austyn’s mommy and daddy back in February 2016. Kristina contacted me to help her surprise her husband Matt with the exciting news that he was going to be a daddy. You can read about how we planned the surprise HERE.
After such an adorable introduction to this family, I couldn’t wait to photograph their new little baby. Little Miss Austyn was so dreamy to work with, and she was such a good sleeper. I always let mamas look through my selection of headbands and tiebacks to use in their baby’s images, and we picked some dainty ones that looked perfect on her. No matter what postion I moved her in, she was just happy as a clam, and slept through the whole session.
One of my favoite parts of a newborn session is capturing parent shots. Your family’s first portrait together is priceless. Kristina and Matt snuggled right in with their little princess and their images turned out gorgeous.
I couldn’t resist snapping an image of Matt holding his little girl in his arms. I love seeing a big strong dad snuggling their tiny little one. Since she was born in the fall, mom and dad wanted to play around with a fun Christmas set up to use on their cards. So, what’s more Christmasy than a wreath? We curled Austyn up so cute inside, and she just LOVED the coziness of the fluff inside the wreath. Who could blame her? I hope you enjoy a selection of my favorite images from Austyn’s session.
