What a perfect evening for a family session. I was so excited to photograph the sweet Stanik family. They have 3 terrific kids that are growing up so fast, and they were ready for some updated pictures. One of the most fun things about being a Sycamore Family Photographer, are the fun locations that our area offers. After talking with mom, we knew we wanted to find a place with beautiful greenery and some unique elements as well. The Ellwood House in Dekalb was the perfect spot. The grounds are meticulously cared for, and there are so many great little spots to use. I love the color combinations they choose too. The jewel tones and navy really pop from the background.
Family sessions are so much fun for me. I love watching how families interact and laugh with each other. Sometimes it takes a little while to break the ice and really get everyone to relax and just have fun, but once we do, that’s when the magic happens!
